Guild Volunteering connects students to meaningful volunteering opportunities with life-changing organisations, both on-campus and in the wider community.

As the hub of volunteering and community engagement at UWA, Guild Volunteering is partnered with over 300 not-for-profit organisations working across all areas of the community. Whatever you are passionate about, whether it’s environmental sustainability, animal welfare, homelessness or refugee issues, we can help to link you to change-making organisations to volunteer with.

Volunteering is an incredible way to create impact, gain valuable skills, and have fun in an inclusive environment of like-minded people. There are many ways you can engage in volunteering from organised, group based excursions and events and regular micro-volunteering activities, to an ongoing role with an external organisation.

As a partnership Volunteering WA, Guild Volunteering are experts in volunteer engagement and management and can support your club or society to engage in volunteering.

If you are a registered not-for-profit organisation seeking volunteers, we are here to help you recruit from a huge pool of UWA students, so please get in touch with us.

Get Started with Volunteering

Never volunteered before?

Here’s a few tips on what you should get organised before signing up to volunteer:

  • Consider your passions: we have volunteering opportunities for 14 areas of interest. Still not sure? Head to the Guild Volunteering office (opposite Student Central) for a chat with our team; they can point you to the perfect opportunity for you!
  • Alternatively, you can complete an online referral form and one of our ambassadors will provide a personalised response.
  • Consider your schedule: how much time can you reasonably dedicate to volunteering? No matter how busy you are, there’s a volunteering opportunity for everyone!
  • Do you have your paperwork? Volunteers may need a WA Police Clearance and current Working With Children’s Check; we can help you obtain both of these to get you started!
