Thanks to ongoing advocacy from the UWA Student Guild, the University has granted special permission for Faculty Societies and Degree-Specific Clubs to promote their events through lecture announcements.
This permit allows approved clubs to make brief announcements at the end of lectures about EMP-approved events, with the lecturer’s permission. Once approved, clubs may continue making these end-of-lecture announcements throughout the semester without requiring further Guild approval for each instance.
Permit Instructions
1. Complete the Club Lecture Announcement Approval Form.
2. Email to the Guild President at [email protected] at least 48 hours before the intended announcement to inform of submission.
3. Once approved, a physical permit must be collected from the Guild, signed by both the Guild President, the Guild Managing Director and the Director of Student Life.
