Cambridge Coastcare are looking for a hand with installing some windbreak fences at Floreat Beach in their newest restoration site.


Cambridge Coastcare are a not-for-profit community organisation formed to undertake coastal rehabilitation projects within Town of Cambridge’s stretch of coastline, as well as promoting its conservation and awareness of its ecology. 


Activity: Assist Cambridge Coastcare and NRM in constructing fences to combat erosion


Date/time: Tuesday 2nd Feb, 9am - 11am


Getting there: Meet at Guild Volunteering office at 8:20 and take the Guild Minivan to site. You are also welcome to meet at Floret Beach, email [email protected] for the exact meeting location. 


Attire: All volunteers MUST wear long pants and enclosed shoes (e.g. runners, sneakers, steel-cap boots, etc). We also recommend bringing a hat, sunglasses, a drink bottle, and encourage all students to wear sunscreen on the day.


Cool drink and snacks provided :)


COVID -19 Safety: A COVID-19 safety plan is in place for this activity and physical distancing, good hygiene and other measures will be in place. We require anyone who is feeling unwell to STAY HOME. If you or someone you have been in contact with has been tested for COVID-19 and it is positive or pending a result you are required to STAY HOME.
