Sila Circles (Islamic History)

A critical, evidence-based inquiry into the fundamental truths of religion, life, purpose and truth, which will serve to build a rationally sound worldview for Muslim students and professionals, and those interested in the Muslim Scholarly Tradition.

Former UWA graduate Osama Hassan and Curtin University History Major Khalid Sheikh will be the lead instructors.

Osama Hassan is a seasoned sales executive who works at a leading Aussie fintech startup. He is founder of Sila Circles, an alumni of UWA and Curtin, and has studied Classical Arabic and traditional Islamic sciences with Muslim scholars in Australia and abroad.

Khalid Sheikh is studying to become a teacher at Curtin University and is a teacher at the Australian Islamic College. He has memorised a significant portion of the Quran, and has also studied Classical Arabic and traditional Islamic sciences with local scholars. He is a voracious reader and takes a keen interest in Western Philosophy, English literature and poetry.
