Department Elections

The following Guild Departments and Sub-Councils are holding elections for Office Bearers and Committees for 2025.

Access Department

Nomination criteria: Email your full name and student number, and the student you would like to nominate with, as your Co-Officer for 2025 (if applicable) to the Returning Officer; Tony Goodman at [email protected]. 

EthnoCultural Department

Nomination criteria: Email your full name and student number, and the student you would like to nominate with, as your Co-Officer for 2025 (if applicable) to the Returning Officer; Tony Goodman at [email protected].  

International Students' Department

Committee Positions available:

• Vice President
• General Secretary
• Social Director
• Welfare Director
• Education Director
• Public Relations Director
• Social Officer
• Welfare Officer
• Education Officer
• Liaison Officer

Nomination criteria: Email your full name, student number, and the position(s) you are nominating for to the Returning Officer; Tony Goodman at [email protected].

Nominees MUST include an attached screenshot of your StudentConnect, confirming your International student status to be eligible.

Pride Department

Nomination criteria: Email your full name and UWA student number to the current Pride Officers for 2024 (Lorenzo Iannuzzi & Alexia Wood) at [email protected].
Please Note: If you wish to nominate with another student to be your Pride Co-Officer in 2025 you must still nominate separately, as individual candidates (as the Pride Regulations do not allow for joint tickets). Questions? Please contact the Returning Officer via [email protected].

Residential Students' Department

Nominees MUST include an attached screenshot with proof of residency at a UWA college to be eligible.

RSD Committee polling information: Polling for the 2025 RSD Committee will take place in the Guild Student Centre on Thursday 24 October & Friday 25 October from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. Voters will need to show their student ID AND proof of residency at a UWA college to be eligible to vote.
