Life Drawing is an event run by the ALVA Student Society, it is open not only to students studying fine arts but all those within ALVA and even UWA itself (students will have to show student ID at the door). It proves a fun learning experience for amateurs and experts alike.

Life Drawing is a long-established tradition within art schools that involves participants practicing their drawing skills representing a nude model. This is normally done in the round where participants sit in a circle surrounding the model and represent them in their poses from their various angles. Poses vary in duration from 1-minute to up to 10-minutes.

It is an effective way of improving drawing skills exposure and repetition to many and often challenging poses. Beyond fine arts and architecture students that are required to possess a high degree of drawing proficiency, it is also a useful and fun activity for students outside these disciplines to express and develop their creativity.
