Community of Inquiry: Love

It's hard to describe a more human experience than being in love. Almost every single person has felt it and its a constant presence in our lives. We see it everywhere - movies, tv, music, art, poetry, etc., and its often a driving motivation for our actions.

But what exactly is it? Is it just an emotion triggered by neuro-chemical processes in the brain? Is it some deeper connection between two kindred souls? Merely a social construction?
And what is it to love someone? What makes a romantic relationship different from the kind we have with family and friends?

Join us to finally answer the question, "what is love?" (baby, don't hurt me.)
