Mid-Autumn Festival Gathering

The Mid-Autumn Festival Gathering, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, is a traditional East Asian holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar, which usually falls in September or October on the Gregorian calendar. This festival is widely observed in countries such as China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and some other East Asian communities around the world.

Hong Kong Student Society is holding a Mid-Autumn Festival event that might include various activities such as mooncake tasting, traditional food and boardgames (e.g. mahjong) and party games related to the festival's themes. These events aim to create a sense of community among students who might be away from their families during the festival and provide a space to share traditions and celebrate together.
