Students for Refugees does Refugee Week!

Students for Refugee aims to virtually celebrate Refugee Week as well as the strength and resilience of refugees and asylum seekers in our community and abroad. 

Refugee week was founded by the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) and is the peak annual activity to raise awareness about the issues affecting refugees and celebrate the positve contributions made by refugees to Australian society. 

Sunday 14th - Introduction and event launch 

Monday 15th - Highlighting current statistics on displacement by the UNHCR 

Tuesday 16th - Ted playlist on human flow and diaspora 

Wednesday 17th - Shouting out CARAD (Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees Inc) 

Thursday 18th - Featuring local story of connection and amazing staff at ASeTTS. 

Friday 19th - Discussing the world we strive for. 

Saturday 20th - Spotlighting events and posting a mini video made by committee.
