Volunteering at Fremantle Harbour Marathon

Fremantle Harbour Master Classic is a WA Marathon Club event along Fremantle Port’s historic Victoria Quay and out to the South Mole lighthouse. This community event is conducted by the West Australian Marathon Club Inc. with the proceeds being donated to Royal Flying Doctor Service. Our aim is to promote the sport of distance running. The Fun Run options have been designed for those who want to be part of the great community event but feel 42.2km or 21.1km is too far. The 5km is ideally suited for walkers or the very young with their parents and prams.

WAMC are keen to get some volunteers to as marshalls, directing runners and alerting pedestrians and cyclists there are runner ahead. All volunteers will be provided a free ticket on the day to travel to and from the island 

DETAILS

Date: Sunday May 15th, 2022

Activity duration: 7.15am - 11am. Check in at Fremantle Ports by 7.15am to collect your volunteer packs (high viz jackets, instructions, lollies and gloves) and return volunteer packs after event finishes.

Location: Fremantle Ports

Getting there: Make your own way to Fremantle Ports no later than 7:15am.

Attire: We recommend closed in shoes, hat, sunscreen and water bottles to be brought.

COVID-19: A COVID-19 safety plan is in place for this activity and physical distancing, good hygiene and other measures will be in place. We require anyone who is feeling unwell to STAY HOME. If you or someone you have been in contact with has been tested for COVID-19 and it is positive or pending a result you are required to STAY HOME.
