Come join the UWA Zoology Club in this exciting opportunity to volunteer for a day with the large range of unique animals that call Cohunu Koala Park home.

We will depart from UWA at 9:30am and travel to Cohunu Koala Park in Byford (~ 45 minute drive) arriving at ~10:15am. Throughout the day we will be engaging in a range of physical activities so you will need to bring enclosed shoes (shoes you don’t mind getting dirty). Don’t forget to practice sun safety on the day, bring a hat, and your reusable water bottle!

Activities will range from assisting in general maintenance and upkeep of the park to cleaning out cages, refilling resources and other activities which will enhance welfare for the animals within the park. There will be lots of opportunity for positive animal interactions as some animals are free roaming and we will be getting into enclosures with a range of animals to provide food, enrichment and to clean the enclosures. We will also be handling a range of animals, using proper techniques, in group and one-on-one settings. There will be a big group break in the middle of the day so please bring along lunch with you!

Once we have finished for the day, we will head back to UWA at around 2:30 arriving back at campus around 3:15pm
