Mental health emergency response line (MHERL) 1300 555 788
This service is available 24 hours a day. These teams are made up of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nursing and allied health staff. They provide after-hours assessment and specialist intervention for people experiencing a mental health emergency. Rapid response to mental health emergencies is provided across the metropolitan area, from Two Rocks in the north to Peel and Waroona in the south.
These services should be used by people involved in a mental health emergency in the community. These might include:
- individuals who feel that they require urgent assistance
- families or carers of those with a mental illness
- members of the general public who witness a mental health crisis and require assistance
- health professionals
- community welfare service providers

They can help you deal with a broad range of issues like bullying, drug and alcohol issues, depression and anxiety, relationships, concerns about a friend, fitting in and isolation.
