The Ethnocultural Collective is looking for committee members for 2020! Passionate about celebrating cultural diversity? Apply for a committee position and get involved with the awesome Ethno events and initiatives at UWA.
Available positions include:
Admin Deputy: It is a combination of the traditional secretary and treasurer roles. You will be in charge of the 'behind the scenes' management and admin work, which include handling the finances for events and initiatives run by the Ethnocultural Collective, looking out for different sponsorship opportunities, handling the meeting minutes and agendas and completing the paperwork for events appropriately. If you like being the backbone of the collective this role is perfect for you.
Events Deputy: This role involves the coordination, planning and brainstorming (yes, bring your fantastic ideas!) many of the diverse and new events the Ethnocultural Collective will run this year to better celebrate cultural diversity at UWA - for example, the Cultural Fashion Show and a Harmony Week picnic.
Outreach Director: You'll be responsible for reaching out to, and building connections between the Ethnocultural Collective and external organizations/individuals that will help Ethno run better initiatives and events. Additionally, you will facilitate collaborations with the different cultural clubs, departments and collectives.
Marketing Director: As the name suggests, you'll be promoting the Ethnocultural Collective to the UWA and broader community to reach out to and engage more students! Some responsibilities are managing Ethno's social media and designing all the promotional materials (e.g. posters, videos, posts etc.) for our events and projects.
OCMs: Ordinary Committee Member - which is a member of committee who would handle different parts of projects and events under the guidance of the convenor and deputy convenors.
Volunteer: Want to get involved but can't make the commitment? We're always looking for volunteers to assist with the activities of the collective on a casual basis. You don't need to apply for this - just join the Ethnocultural Collective on Facebook to be the first to hear about volunteering opportunities!
